I. Introduction
In many fields such as industrial production, trade settlement and scientific research, accurate measurement of liquid flow is essential. In order to meet the growing demand for high-precision liquid flow measurement, we have launched a liquid calibration device specifically for the DN10 - DN1000 caliber range. The device is designed and manufactured in strict accordance with international standards, meets the requirements of the ISO quality system, and has passed the CNAS certification, providing reliable traceability and calibration services for liquid flow measurement.
II. Device Overview
This liquid calibration device integrates advanced technology and processes, adopts a modular design concept, and ensures the stability, accuracy and scalability of the device. The device has multiple working modes and can flexibly adapt to the calibration needs of different types of liquid flow meters, covering common types such as volumetric flow meters, turbine flow meters, electromagnetic flow meters, vortex flow meters, etc.
III. Working Principle
Static mass method
In a static state, the mass of the liquid collected in the container over a period of time is weighed by a high-precision electronic scale, and the flow value is calculated based on the relationship between mass and time. This method directly measures the mass, avoiding the influence of the change of liquid density on the volume measurement. It has high measurement accuracy and is suitable for calibration tasks with small flow and extremely high precision requirements, especially in the DN10-DN1000 caliber range.
Standard meter method
A high-precision standard flow meter is used as a standard for value transfer, so that the measured liquid passes through the standard flow meter and the flow meter under test continuously at the same time interval. By comparing the output flow signals of the two, the measurement error of the flow meter under test is calculated. The standard meter method has the advantages of wide measurement range and simple operation, and can quickly calibrate flow meters of different calibers and flow ranges. The standard flow meter used in this device has an accuracy level of up to 0.1, which ensures the accuracy and reliability of value transfer.
IV. Device structure
(I) Liquid supply system
It consists of a liquid storage tank, a centrifugal pump, a filter, etc., which provides a stable liquid source for the entire device. The liquid storage tank adopts a large-capacity design to meet the needs of long-term continuous calibration work. The centrifugal pump has a variable frequency speed regulation function, which can flexibly adjust the liquid flow according to different calibration tasks. The filter performs multi-stage filtration on the liquid to remove impurities, ensure that the liquid entering the calibration pipeline is clean, and avoid damage to the flowmeter and device.
(II) Flow regulation system
The liquid flow is accurately controlled through regulating valves, frequency converters and other equipment. The regulating valve adopts a high-precision electric regulating valve with fast response speed and high regulation accuracy. The frequency converter is used in conjunction with the centrifugal pump to adjust the pump speed in real time according to the actual flow demand, thereby achieving continuous and smooth regulation of the flow and meeting the requirements for flow stability under different calibration conditions.
(III) Meter clamping system
Various specifications of meter clamps are designed, suitable for the installation of flowmeters with different diameters from DN10 to DN1000. The meter clamp adopts a quick clamping structure, which can easily and quickly realize the installation and disassembly of the flowmeter to be tested, improving the efficiency of calibration work. At the same time, the meter clamp has good sealing performance, ensuring that there is no leakage when the liquid is flowing, and ensuring the accuracy of the calibration process.
(IV) Reversing system
It is used to control the flow direction of the liquid and realize the switching between the standard and the flowmeter to be tested. The reversing system uses a high-precision reversing valve with short response time and reliable reversing action. When calibrating the static mass method and static volume method, the reversing valve is used to accurately control the liquid to enter the standard container or the flow meter to be tested, ensuring the accuracy of the measurement time, thereby improving the accuracy of the calibration results.
(V) Pipeline system
It is made of high-quality stainless steel pipes, and the pipeline connection adopts a combination of welding and flange connection to ensure the sealing and pressure resistance of the pipeline. The pipeline system is reasonably laid out according to different working principles and flow ranges, and the necessary pressure and temperature measurement points are set to monitor the working status of the liquid in real time and provide accurate compensation parameters for flow calculation.
(VI) Control system
The device is equipped with an advanced automatic control system, which realizes the full process of automatic control of the device's start, stop, flow regulation, reversing operation, data acquisition and processing, and determination of calibration results. The control system uses an industrial-grade PLC as the core controller, and is operated and monitored with a human-machine interface (HMI). Operators can easily set calibration parameters, start the calibration process, and view various data and curves during the calibration process in real time through the HMI. At the same time, the control system has perfect data storage and management functions, which can automatically store calibration data in the database for subsequent query and statistical analysis.
(VII) Standard measuring instruments
According to different working principles, the device is equipped with high-precision standard mass scales and standard volumetric measuring instruments. The standard mass scale adopts internationally renowned brand products with an accuracy of more than one ten-thousandth, which meets the high-precision requirements of the static mass method for mass measurement. The standard volumetric measuring instrument is calibrated by a professional metrology agency, and the volume uncertainty is better than 0.05%, ensuring the measurement accuracy of the static volumetric method.
V. Performance indicators
(I) Measurement range
This device can cover the caliber range of DN10 - DN1000, and the flow measurement range is from 0.01m³/h to 10000m³/h, which can meet the calibration needs of liquid flow meters in most industrial sites and laboratory environments.
(II) Measurement uncertainty
In the entire measurement range, the expanded uncertainty of the device is better than 0.1% (k = 2). For small flow (DN10 - DN100), when the static mass method is used, the expanded uncertainty can reach 0.05% (k = 2); for large flow (DN100 - DN1000), when the static volume method and the standard table method are used, the expanded uncertainty is better than 0.05% (k = 2) and 0.2% (k = 2) respectively.
(III) Stability
The long-term operating stability of the device is better than 0.2%, ensuring that stable and reliable values can be provided during continuous long-term calibration work. Through the careful selection and optimization design of key components, as well as the use of advanced temperature and pressure compensation technology, the impact of environmental factors on the measurement results is effectively reduced, ensuring the stability of the device.
(IV) Repeatability
The measurement repeatability error is less than 0.05%, ensuring the consistency and reliability of multiple calibration results for the same flow meter under test. This is due to the device's high-precision measurement system, stable flow control and advanced automatic control algorithm, which effectively reduces the interference of human factors and system noise on the measurement results.
