Ultrasonic flowmeter

Ultrasonic Flowmeters: Significance in Liquid Measurement

Ultrasonic flowmeters are actually special devices, who have been given the capability to be able to read exactly how liquids will pass or move via a specific dimensions of pipe. These tools are already over 50 years old but became widely used only in recent time. The ability of these devices to revolutionize the way in which industrial-fluids are metered, by matching both their accuracy and capacity for reliable measurement as is offered in measuring liquid-flow makes them a fundamental component across multiple industries.

The working principle of an ultrasonic flow meter

Principle: The ultrasonic water meter from KAMBODA, applied high-frequency sound waves and deduced the moving velocity of liquid running within pipe. Consisting of a pair of externally mounted transducers (one that projects high-frequency sonic waves across the fluid inside the pipe, and one receiving those signals at an opposing end). The sound waves travel faster in one direction, and this difference is changed by the flowing of the liquid, enable that multi-path solution to measure how fast they are moving so you can calculate flow rate.

Ultrasonic Flowmeter Applications

Ultrasonic flowmeters offer numerous benefits over traditional technologies for measuring liquid in a pipe. They do not come into contact with the liquid itself at any stage, so there is less chance of it becoming polluted; they are virtually unbreakable. They are also simple to install without any pipeline cutting or liquid interference in downstream processes. The KAMBODA ultrasonic water level sensor can also be used for measuring several types of liquids, including corrosive and hazardous substances.
